YOUTH FESTIVAL 2010

Let me introduce to you to some basic exercises on how we begin on conducting a workshop, First of all, we need to let our creative impulse flow, thus, Zero made a Joker mask out of tape with a mannequin head as a foundation and Sheryo and Zahir taking picture with the rebellious Zero Joker to get the mood going, Secondly, we definitely need some freshly pressured ammunitions, organized nicely in an obsessive compulsive color arrangement.

Antz, Sheryo, Zahir and Clogtwo were invited to conduct a 3 days workshop at the Youth Festival 2010 organized by The Esplande. Thanks to Iman for curating the event and making everything possible and running smoothly. Personally, it was a great experience painting with Antz, Sheryo and Zahir as all of us came from an illustrative background, and we managed to devised a concept mural of using our own styles and applying it to each other's iconic characters. It was a challenge in the beginning as all of us are not used to recreating our style into the body of another artist's illustration. But we managed to pull it off and create 3 different murals spreading across the 3 days event, and the crowd response was great even though the weather was a killer.

DAY 1

The Lotus

Graffiti art isn't meant to be kept for long, they grow old and die, it's temporary. And so, we black washed it to make room for new born. Antz and Sheryo busy "erasing" the existing mural.
