BUILDING THE WK1

The WK1 is a bio-mechanical being inspired by the chinese mythological stories of Journey to the West. The WK1 stands for Wu Kong One, or originally known in the fables as Sun Wukong, The Monkey King. In these stages of painting process, I've journeyed to the end of the abyss of the universe, soul searching in the intricate details, lights and shadows of this piece. It's a struggle of zen and stress as I work on it. The WK1 is completed  over a span of 5 days, approximately 6 hours session per day. The WK1: acrylic and spray paint on 48in by 36in canvas. (SOLD)
